The Legend of Two Tons
Two Tons of Steel grew in popularity during the late nineties, packing local bars and hangouts throughout the Alamo city. In 1996, they scored the cover of Billboard Magazine and shot into stardom. With a sponsorship deal with Lone Star Beer, they began travelling outside of Texas to play shows. Many people embraced their unique Texas sound, reaching the Grand Ole’ Opry in Nashville to various European tours.
For the last 24 years, they have played the Two Ton Tuesday Show live from Gruene Hall. They have drawn over 230,000 fans from this annual summer event. They have earned a number of awards including “Best Country Band” by the San Antonio current ten times!
Kevin Geil rocks on vocals, Jake “Sidecar” Marchese strums on the Upright Bass, Will Owen-Gade shreds on lead guitar and Rich Alcorta pounds on drums. Together they make Two Tons of Steel and they are bringing original Texas Country to Rock the Bahn.
