On the second night of the Rock the Bahn festival, Kori Free & The Groove Hounds will take the stage! This groovy bunch has been playing together for nearly ten years across the I-35 corridor from San Antonio to Austin. Kori Free & The Groove Hounds are rocking the Lagoon Pool on Saturday, July 13th at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels.
Known as the “Small Texas Band with BIG Soul”, Kori Free & The Groove Hounds are known for their blues, classic rock, and original groovy tunes. Kori has been playing guitar since the age of seven. She gained inspiration from watching Nancy Wilson from Heart on TV. After dreaming of shredding on the guitar to Barracuda, Kori began playing gigs all around New Braunfels and surrounding areas. Now at twenty years old, Kori fronts her band The Groove Hounds and plays shows all summer long (when she is not studying at Texas A&M, of course).
Kori is the lead guitarist and vocalist with The Groove Hounds. Chris Compton beats on the drums, Shawn Hart strums on the bass, and Steve Chase slams on the keys. Kori Free & The Groove Hounds make the prefect band to Rock the Bahn, with Kori showing everyone what it means to #PlayLikeAGirl!
