Yes, I’m sure some of you have heard or read about what this creation is, but if you haven’t, you’re going to want to sit down for this. The Cookie Blaster is Schlitterbahn’s 2018 funnel cake flavor, and it’s a jaw dropper. As if funnel cakes weren’t glorious enough, we had to go ahead and make something even more mouthwatering than you’ve ever experienced before.

Do the words “fried Oreo” do anything for your taste buds? Because it sure does for mine. Not only does the Cookie Blaster include a fried Oreo to top the funnel cake off, but there’s also ice cream, crushed Oreo cookies, powdered sugar, whipped topping, and chocolate syrup. What a combo, am I right?? Take this from someone who has personally devoured this incredible creation, the Cookie Blaster is truly a game-changer. Whether you are visiting us with your big, medium, or small family, the Cookie Blaster is something that anyone of all ages can enjoy. Just make sure no fights break out over who gets to eat the fried Oreo ;).

As mentioned before, this is the first season that we have offered the beautiful Cookie Blaster Loaded Funnel Cake and it has been a hit, so get it while you can! There are six different locations throughout Schlitterbahn East and West that sell these loaded funnel cakes: Shipwreck Grill in Blastenhoff, the Treehaus Sweet Shoppe and Surf Shop in Surfenburg, and the Lagoon Grill, Festhaus Grill, and Gator Grill in the West side of the park. And if you’re hanging out in a cabana all day you can get your server to bring one right to you!

We have regular funnel cakes, which go for $5.99; our Cookies N’ Cream funnel cake, as well as a “Make Your Own” loaded funnel cake, both going for $9.99; and then finally, our Cookie Blaster, or whatever the seasonal flavor is, costs $10.49, but it’s one hundred percent worth every sugary penny!

1. The scoop of ice cream that they use on top of the Cookie Blaster was specially made by Blue Bell for us to use here at the park. It’s called Blue Monster and is filled with cookies, cookie dough, and lots of love. Side note: the ice cream will briefly stain your teeth and lips blue, but it’s totally okay because then everyone will know that your tummy is happy from the funnel cake.
2. In case you were curious about how many we sell each week, let me break this down for you. We sell about 15 Cookie Blasters at each of the six locations that sell them each day. Multiply that by seven and you get around 700 Cookie Blasters a week throughout our Schlitterbahn East and West in New Braunfels. That’s over 700 fried Oreos. Can you imagine? I honestly don’t understand how the workers are able to make the funnel cakes without snacking on it themselves, but more power to them.

If you’re still reading this and haven’t started packing your bags to come to Schlitterbahn for the day (or days) to enjoy our delicious funnel cakes, you should start doing that ASAP! You’re not going to want to miss out on this season’s amazing funnel cake.
