We here at Schlitterbahn anxiously wait every summer season as the Texas weather begins to give us snippets of warm weather early on in the year. Mostly we ask ourselves why it’s in the high 80s in early February while dreamily looking at the empty waterpark. While we technically can’t open until next month for our BAHN BREAK (own our way of celebrating Spring Break March 11 – 18, 2017), that doesn’t mean we can’t eagerly prepare the park’s summer 2017 schedule! We’ve also created a nice visual that show the different stages of our schedule and hours of operation as summer gets closer: What is Schlitterbahn Lite: Limited Attractions – Light on the Wallet! Schlitterbahn Lite has several stages that begin and end our summer season here in New Braunfels. Each of these stages help us kick off the summer season with Blastenhoff open during Spring Break or the entire East side of the waterpark open during certain days in May. It can be a little tricky to understand all the different stages, so here’s a breakdown of how it all works! Blastenhoff only Guests visiting during the Blastenhoff only time of the year will enjoy the world famous Master Blaster, thrills of Wolfpack and Black Knight or float the day away in the Torrent Wave River. Operating schedule for Blastenhoff: Blastenhoff and Surfenburg only At the beginning of...Read More
Happy Holidays everyone! With the winter weather settling here in Texas, it’s safe to say it definitely IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Just like you, I too am sad to have to trade my Schlitterbahn tube for tinsel but that means it’s time to rock all the winter gear I purchased during our 50% off sale last September! (Here’s a picture of my #BahnHaul this year.) Here are some ways I like to rock my Schlitterbahn gear during the holidays. Sipping on some hot cocoa by the fire while talking to my best friend Jill about all the fun times I had riding MASSIV this summer. Refusing to give up on my Summer/Fourth of July vibes by rocking this trucker hat that screams, “AMERICA!” Cancelling out those grey/rainy skies by wearing a tie-dye long sleeve that brightens anyone’s day. Wearing long, warm socks on those below 40-degree days to help remind my toes of those days we were running around Schlitterbahn without a care in the world . Wearing this jacket that subtly says Schlitterbahn so everyone knows what i’m really thinking about while I wait for my car to warm up. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the cold weather (to a certain extent) but nothing is better than riding The Falls in New Braunfels during a hot summer day. That’s all I’ll be thinking...Read More
There is nothing more we love at Schlitterbahn than participating and getting to know the community our waterparks are in. Our Staff Services team at Schlitterbahn South Padre Island is a leading example of investing in your community. For the past four years Brad Fitch, the SPI Human Resources Director, has been working with local schools in the South Padre Island area to give a presentation to students in the area on how to ace an interview. The first year Fitch put together this presentation he had three school districts sign up. Thanks to the success in the program...Read More

"Four night stay over Christmas-New Years. Great time and friendly staff. Hotel room nice and large...five of us had plenty of room. The torrent river rocks!!! Rode for a couple hours every day...exhausting and memorable! The two tube slides were good in the enclosed waterpark...only wish there were a couple more slides. Thanks for a great vacation!" --Shane S., Trip Advisor (regarding our South Padre Resort)

Every since visiting the original Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, I've been a fan of these water parks and have returned often. In 2014, we bought a season pass to the park in Galveston and visited at least 10 times. My daughter loves it and constantly asks to go back ...
Overall, Schlitterbahn is worth the time and money. In my opinion, the park in Galveston is just as good as the one in New Braunfels. So go and stay all day! Have fun! --Joseph, Trip Advisor for Galveston location

“Great place to spend your Summer!”
I make it a point to invest in season passes for my entire family year after year. This place offers plenty of shade, bring your own food, (a must for that busy mom) and of course attraction for all ages. Every life guard is professionally trained and has hours of continuing education per year. I can not rave on their customer service enough, the entire staff from front entrance to gift shop employees are very professional and helpful. Blessed to live so close to one of the Worlds BEST (if not the best) waterparks.
